- To campaign for food sustainability and security by supporting and promoting the production of local food that is grown without damage to the natural environment or ecosystems.
- To connect with, support and encourage local farmers and growers who want to adopt and maintain methods of agriculture that increase biodiversity and soil health and mitigate climate change.
- To oppose intensive poultry units and all other intensive farming systems and to promote alternatives that respect animal welfare and create meaningful work for local people.
- To work with, encourage and support local food producers, farmers, retailers and consumers to create and maintain local food supply and distribution networks.
- To raise awareness of these issues by various means such as taking local action, writing to authorities and to the press or holding educational events.
